Feel Good Friday

Is it just me or has this week been hell? It seems like everyone that I have talked to has had a crummy week. Well, that is stopping right now! We have reached Friday and it is time to par-tay (aka relax on the couch and watch a movie, in bed by 9).

I love the Muppets. I remember watching the original show when I was a kid and just recently went back and watched the episodes again. Some of them were actually kind of heavy. I'm glad I didn't get it when I was younger, One of my favorite characters is Janice from the Electric Mayhem Band. For the longest time, I thought all Californians talked that way, little did I know, I was spot on (I kid, I kid!) Calixita created this beaded bracelet for a swap. I love all the detail. You can read more about the post and see other pictures on Craftster.

Did I ever tell you that I collect dolls? I have a ton of them, some creepy, some cute, but all very special to me, I just started collecting Monster High Dolls and I KNOW I need these from the Sweet Screams. She comes with a flippin' cthulhu! If you feel the need to get me an early Christmas present, she is available on Amazon.

Ahhhh....I feel better, just hanging out with you guys, relaxing, laying around, but duty does call and by duty I mean Iggy. My little man is demanding to go outside and of course I have to give the little dude what he wants. So, I leave you with some cuteness of your own and hope you have a fabu weekend! Pam's out! PEACE!

Tie One On Tuesday

Labor day ushers in the unofficial end to summer, but it also means it's the unofficial beginning of fall. I love fall. The weather is slightly cooler, the air smells different and I get to snuggle up with my favorite OMP and pups. When there is a slight crispness in the air, these cocktails will warm you up.

Add pumpkin to just about anything and you have a fall drink. The Old Fashion is no exception.

Pumpkin Old Fashion
3 tbsp. pumpkin puree
1 ½ oz. bourbon
1 oz. maple coffee flavoring
½ oz. Grand Marnier
2 dashes bitters
Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake and strain out the liquid. Pour into an old fashion glass and drink up!

The weather getting cooler always makes me a bit sleepy but I even have those nights were getting to sleep is a little rough. A hot coconut milk beverage is just what the kittykill ordered.

Hot Coconut Milk
1 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
2 oz. bourbon
vanilla extract to taste ( I like about 1-2 teaspoons)
Heat sugar, milk and vanilla over high heat, stirring with a whisk until you begin to see bubbles or froth, take off heat and add bourbon.  Pour into a mug, garnish with cinnamon and enjoy.

The other great taste of fall is cranberry. The tartness against the spice is like a party in your mouth.

Cranberry Party
2 oz. cranberry juice
2 oz. spiced rum
Ice
pour cranberry juice and rum over ice and serve. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! This one is super easy and just perfect after a long day.

Fall is a perfect time to try new things and give old recipes a little kick in the pants. Time to sit back, watch the leaves change and sip a toasty beverage.

Scrappy Dog Sunday

Yesterday OMP and I were cruising the stores for Halloween stuff. Yeah, I know it is still early but I can't help myself. I love Halloween!

For the smallest member of the Pedersen Pups, Iggy, I am thinking maybe something with a monkey...

Lola is my wonder woman. She has defied death many times and keeps coming back (maybe she should be a bad penny instead)

Pete is a lady's man. The chicks love this little dude. He also loves to sing the song of his people.Such a rock star!

Oh my little Jujube! My little innocent maiden. (this costume is to DIE for!)

This is what I am planning on for this week. Next week will be something different. I think I need to buy them one for each week in October...and maybe September.

Feel Good Friday

Well hello long weekend! How are you doing? Might I say that you are looking mighty fine...All Friday'd up! Let's see what mama has got for you!

My friend Krissi is awesome. She is full of sass and did I mention that she has a Jack (and a new puppy!). I love her artwork and she does custom work. The boxes above are just a few of my favorites. I need to have her do a portrait of my babes. Her skelekitties are to die for!  Check out these pieces as well as her other kick ass work on Facebook HERE.

This scarf is absolutely breathtaking! It would look good dressed up or down with a pair of cowboy boots and jeans. You can find them on Shovava's Etsy shop. They are not very expensive and Christmas isn't that far away (hint hint OMP!)

I am obsessed with crochet hooplas right now. I think they would look great in my gypsy themed bedroom. AterGcrochet has this great pattern for a Crocheted Mandala. Who wants to teach me to crochet?

Oh man! So much goodness this Friday, I can't stand it! Iggy is trying to tell me to get off the computer and enjoy the day. I think I will take his advice. Before I leave...you're welcome!

Tute Thursday: The Video

Have you been looking for a tutorial that I have done in the past and just can't find it? Searching my blog can sometimes be a bit of a chore (tags are not my friend), but now you don't have to...you can go straight to the source and find all my tutorial videos in one place-The Craftster Youtube Channel. This channel has every craft video I have worked on. It also shows my amazing hairstyles. Seriously, can I get an "amen" about the beauty of my hair?

Maybe Youtube isn't your thing, that's cool. You can head on over to Pinterest and check out my tutorials, as well as other awesome crafty ideas from Crafster.org. There are SO many ideas for getting your craft on; they even have specific boards for TV shows, movies and other characters.

It has been such a wonderful journey with Craftster and don't worry, there are no plans on stopping anytime soon. Who knows what I will be crafting next (well...I kind of know, but no spoilers!)

What kind of craft tutorial would you like to see me do? I am up for just about anything!

Tie One On Tuesday: Every Dog Has Its Day

It is National Dog Day and you KNOW I have to celebrate it! My pups refuse to let this day go to waste. They are probably at home right now having a huge pool party with all their friends. Why am I having images of Pete in a smoking jacket and pipe with a million ladies around him?

There is no reason why dogs should have all the fun today, let's honor our poochies with a few delicious cocktails.

Probably the easiest drink you will ever make, besides twisting the top off your beer is the Greyhound. I love both the dog and drink. It is on par with a screwdriver but you use grapefruit juice instead of orange.

The Greyhound
2 ounces vodka
5 ounces grapefruit juice
Mix together in a glass with ice and enjoy!

I have to give a shout out to the newest member of the Pedersen pups, Iggy. This little boy has stolen my heart, even though he has to work on his behavior around the ladies. I'm sure it is because he is still a puppy and thinks that girls are smelly. He really needs to take some tips from his brother. You have heard of the salty dog, but let's take it up a notch with the Salty Chihuahua.

Salty Chihuahua
 1 1/2 ounce tequila
5 ounces limeaide
coarse salt
ice
With the coarse salt, line the rim of a glass, fill glass with ice and then pour in tequila and limeaide. Stir and Howl like a chi chi! HOOOWWWWLLLL!

If you had too much howling and are feeling like little Pomeranians are tap dancing on your head, why not try the Hair of the Dog to get rid of the bite.

Hair of the Dog
6 ounces gin
1/ ounce fresh lemon juice
couple dashes of hot sauce
ice
In a shaker, mix the gin, ice and lemon juice. Strain into a martini glass and finish with a few dashes of hot sauce.

There ya go, a few dog themed cocktails to celebrate your best friend. Enjoy your scrappy pup today and let them know you love them and if you do overindulge, don't worry, they will keep all your secrets safe.

Feel Good Friday

Look at you, you living doll! You made it to the weekend! I know this week was extra hard, but you kicked butt and took names. Let's see what I have to reward you for all of your hard work.

My friend Jean is amazing! She is probably the most level headed, laid back, beautiful person I have met. She is an incredible cook and loves to motivate people. Her website, From Forks to Fitness includes not only yummy recipes but inspiration and motivation to get you on a healthy track. I made her Peanut and Butter Jelly cookies and I'm telling you they are filling, good for you and taste delicious! You can read more about her journey and find healthy recipes HERE

I'm not the best at crochet and knitting is just out of the question but I am absolutely in love with this yarn. Snickersnee's Etsy shop has this and other bird inspired yarn as well as cute little plush toys. I think her yarn would be fabulous in a wall hanging, but if you want to knit me a scarf, I'm good with that too. Check out her  SHOP.

Finally, you Friday dose of cuteness. I heart this dog so much.
Have a great weekend. Love each other, don't forget to smile and bring some happiness into the world.
