Feel Good Friday

you should buy this print at The Dreamy Giraffe

You made it to Friday. Go you! You deserve a medal and cupcake and cocktail!

This weekend I am going to a pumpkin carving party. I don't want to do the same old thing. Baby Savers.com has over 700 free pumpkin carving patterns. There is something for everyone. None of this are naughty, they are kid friendly. You can find them here.

This ring. I need it. I need everything in Moon Raven's shop. Oh OMP-are you listening to me?

This...this is my life. Every day, every night, every minute.

Well, there ya go my little chickadees! Some cuteness, some sassy and a little craft. How's that for a Friday? Have a great weekend! Get out there and enjoy the fall season!

Feel Good Friday

Oh my gawwwd! You guys! We made it to Friday and it is the first weekend in October-time to get our spook on! Have you decorated yet? What are you waiting for?

I am a sucker for free printables. I collect them just in case I want to use them at a later date or even just to look at again. Live Laugh Rowe created this adorable monster Halloween printable for you to download and frame. The little monsters are killing me. So stinking cute!

Each year OMP and I get a new Halloween ornament for our trees. Disney has put out several ornaments that I am just dying over. I really need one.  They have several designs from Nightmare Before Christmas. You can see all of them here.

Thanks to Starshine Chic for this brilliant idea. Instead of putting away my beach and tiki decor for the season, I can use it to make a Cousin It. Love it!

Dogs in costumes....never gets old. (if this is your dog, please let me know, I want to give you credit for this brilliant costume)

Okay, time for me to get off the computer and spookify my house. Hope your weekend is filled with lots of October fun and maybe a dog martini or two.

and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
‘tis near Halloween.

Feel Good Friday

Can you feel it? Fall is here! You can smell the difference in the air. No longer is our house filled with the beach and summer. We have switched over to our fall smells and decor. I love it!

Do you have kids or maybe, like me, you are big kid yourself. Either way, you should check out the Octonauts. The books and show have been around for some time but on the Disney channel, they are still going strong. Think Thunderbirds meet Sea Lab with cute animals and you have the Octonauts. You can read their books, see all their adventures and see other amazing art from Meomi HERE. PS-the toys are ADORABLE!

Cooler temps can only mean that it is time for me to assess my scarf situation. I love scarfs! I really should learn to crochet better or even try my hand at knitting. In the meantime, I can always sew a new scarf for this fall. Flamingo Toes put together a great list of 30 DIY scarves to make that require no knitting needles. Check out their awesome list.

It had to be done....

If this is your dog or you know whose dog it is, please let me know so I can come over and smooch it,

Well cats and kittens, mama has got a lot of work to do this weekend. It's time for me to jump off the couch and get to it. Hope your weekend is filled with silly animals, puppies to kiss and thoughts of the fall season.

Feel Good Friday

YES! The weekend! It is here and I am one happy camper! YAHOO! What are you up to this weekend? I am planning on lots and lots of crafty goodness.

Handmade by Charlotte created this most adorable tutorial and template for these Mix Em Up Spool Animals. Aren't they just the cutest thing ever? It is a great way to reuse those empty spools. You can find the post and tutorial HERE

I NEED this purse, NEED it. Urban Heirlooms has the best loot in their Etsy shop.

The sun is shining today and it is still warm, which will be pretty rare in the coming weeks, so I am going to get out and enjoy the weather while I still can. Here's hoping that your weekend is full of some fun. Get out there and enjoy life!

Feel Good Friday

Is it just me or has this week been hell? It seems like everyone that I have talked to has had a crummy week. Well, that is stopping right now! We have reached Friday and it is time to par-tay (aka relax on the couch and watch a movie, in bed by 9).

I love the Muppets. I remember watching the original show when I was a kid and just recently went back and watched the episodes again. Some of them were actually kind of heavy. I'm glad I didn't get it when I was younger, One of my favorite characters is Janice from the Electric Mayhem Band. For the longest time, I thought all Californians talked that way, little did I know, I was spot on (I kid, I kid!) Calixita created this beaded bracelet for a swap. I love all the detail. You can read more about the post and see other pictures on Craftster.

Did I ever tell you that I collect dolls? I have a ton of them, some creepy, some cute, but all very special to me, I just started collecting Monster High Dolls and I KNOW I need these from the Sweet Screams. She comes with a flippin' cthulhu! If you feel the need to get me an early Christmas present, she is available on Amazon.

Ahhhh....I feel better, just hanging out with you guys, relaxing, laying around, but duty does call and by duty I mean Iggy. My little man is demanding to go outside and of course I have to give the little dude what he wants. So, I leave you with some cuteness of your own and hope you have a fabu weekend! Pam's out! PEACE!

Feel Good Friday

Well hello long weekend! How are you doing? Might I say that you are looking mighty fine...All Friday'd up! Let's see what mama has got for you!

My friend Krissi is awesome. She is full of sass and did I mention that she has a Jack (and a new puppy!). I love her artwork and she does custom work. The boxes above are just a few of my favorites. I need to have her do a portrait of my babes. Her skelekitties are to die for!  Check out these pieces as well as her other kick ass work on Facebook HERE.

This scarf is absolutely breathtaking! It would look good dressed up or down with a pair of cowboy boots and jeans. You can find them on Shovava's Etsy shop. They are not very expensive and Christmas isn't that far away (hint hint OMP!)

I am obsessed with crochet hooplas right now. I think they would look great in my gypsy themed bedroom. AterGcrochet has this great pattern for a Crocheted Mandala. Who wants to teach me to crochet?

Oh man! So much goodness this Friday, I can't stand it! Iggy is trying to tell me to get off the computer and enjoy the day. I think I will take his advice. Before I leave...you're welcome!

Feel Good Friday

Look at you, you living doll! You made it to the weekend! I know this week was extra hard, but you kicked butt and took names. Let's see what I have to reward you for all of your hard work.

My friend Jean is amazing! She is probably the most level headed, laid back, beautiful person I have met. She is an incredible cook and loves to motivate people. Her website, From Forks to Fitness includes not only yummy recipes but inspiration and motivation to get you on a healthy track. I made her Peanut and Butter Jelly cookies and I'm telling you they are filling, good for you and taste delicious! You can read more about her journey and find healthy recipes HERE

I'm not the best at crochet and knitting is just out of the question but I am absolutely in love with this yarn. Snickersnee's Etsy shop has this and other bird inspired yarn as well as cute little plush toys. I think her yarn would be fabulous in a wall hanging, but if you want to knit me a scarf, I'm good with that too. Check out her  SHOP.

Finally, you Friday dose of cuteness. I heart this dog so much.
Have a great weekend. Love each other, don't forget to smile and bring some happiness into the world.

Feel Good Friday

via poet, Erin Hanson

It's is Friday! YAHOO! We have made it to the weekend! We ROCK!

I am a huge advocate of rescue dogs. Even if you are looking for a specific breed, there is a rescue out there. We are associated with two rescues that are dear to our heart, the first being The Jack Russell Rescue of Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Their organization does so much in helping Jack Russell Terriers. They really go beyond what is necessary to make sure that Jacks are placed in great homes, with people who understand the behavior. They offer great advice in training your JRT.

The second organization is Underdog Railroad Rescue. This is where Iggy is from. This organization is wonderful, but if you want a quick dog fix, this place is not for you and I'm glad of that! They take their time placing each dog they have (mainly smaller breeds). We had several home visits, two meet and greets and even necessary medical precautions before Iggy came home. The whole process took over a month but it was well worth it. They want to make sure that each pup is placed in the right home. PS, while looking through all the success pics to find ours, I was in tears with all the happy dogs who found homes. PPS-Lola is not pictured because she was the crankiest dog ever and decided that she would "be in her trailer."

Both are in need of adoptive parents. If you can not adopt, then they also need foster families and if that is out of your ability, then please give. Rescues can not operate on love alone. They need funding. Even the smallest donation, means a ton to a rescue organization.

I have become obsessed with building a fort in my craft room. I want a little area that I can read, relax, stitch and feel like a kid hiding away in my own little world. I have  few ideas in mind-I am in love with this room from designer Justina Blakeney on Design Sponge.

I LOVE Free Vintage Posters.com. They have public domain ads and posters that you can download for free! From advertising to sports, you can find just about any public domain vintage art work there.

You're welcome....

Well cats and kittens, that's it for me! I am off to enjoy the sun, the pups and maybe a dip in the pool. The world is calling my name and I have to answer!

Feel Good Friday!

Look at you! Making it to Friday, all on your own! Give yourself a big smooch in the mirror, cause you deserve it! Let's see what I have in my bag of tricks to make this Friday extra special.

Do you need some life lessons? Why not take the advice from a 90 year old woman? Hey! She has been around the block and back a couple of times, I'm pretty sure she knows what she is talking about. Popsugar has this amazing lifestyle article entitled, 45 Life Lessons Written by a "90 Year old Woman." Here's the first secret, the woman isn't 90, she's in her 50's. After being diangosed with breast cancer, Regina Brett penned these lessons. The lessons took a life of their own. She's not mad about it, just glad that she touched so many lives.

I know summer is now on the downside but we can still celebrate the Summer of No Pants. First, get your minds out of the gutter. Second, this has nothing to do with the naked bike ride that zoomed by my house earlier this year. The Summer of No Pants is all about creating skirts, dresses and shorts to wear during the summer. Marigold at Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky has various patterns, inspiration and a newsletter to help you celebrate no pants this summer. Maybe I will finish the summer with no pants. It would be a bit cooler than jeans, that's for sure!

And because it has been WAY WAY WAY too long, here's a puppy for you. This is Linus, he was a ball boy for the U.S. Open. You can read about his adventures on the Fluffington Post. I can barely get my dogs to stop barking at the doorbells on TV.

Well, there ya go! Some good advice, a chance to sew and not wear pants and a cute (and smart!) puppy dog. Nice to see that my Fridays are back to normal. I hope you have a fabu weekend! Get out there an enjoy the weather or if that's not your thing, sit in your room and write poetry...both are entertaining!
